Hanka Wolterstorff is driven by the urge to create something she considers beautiful. Influenced largely by the tropical nature that surrounds her, Suriname is inadvertently interwoven into every composition that she intuitively creates. Her organic ceramic sculptures are usually composed of various thin sheets of clay that she brings together in flowing compositions with graceful curves and extended tips.
